Dr. Corey, the most recent surgeon to join our team, was born and raised in a suburb of Boston, MA. He is the son of a general and vascular surgeon and attended the College of the Holy Cross graduating cum laude with a degree in chemistry. He then attended Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA where he solidified his interest in surgery.
He completed a general surgery residency and vascular surgery research fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN and was the recipient of the Harwell Wilson Award in surgical excellence. Dr. Corey then traveled back to Boston to complete fellowship training in vascular and endovascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Corey’s special interests include both open and complex endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms.
He is also interested in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease and carotid artery pathology. He holds appointments at both Kennestone and Cobb Hospitals. He lives in Kennesaw with his wife Claudette, son Teddy, and 2 Great Dane and also enjoys playing tennis and watching football in his spare time.
