Dr. Winter has 25 years of experience in vascular surgery in the Atlanta area and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Winter’s first experience in vascular surgery was working with Dr. Herbert Dardik, who developed the umbilical vein bypass. It was Dr. Dardik’s expertise and compassion that motivated Dr. Winter to pursue a career in vascular surgery. Later, during his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Winter trained under two of the foremost aortic surgeons in the country.

In 2008, Dr. Winter merged his established vascular care practice with Vein Specialist of NW Georgia. In addition to treating the full array of vascular cases, Dr. Winter is also active at the Cobb Wound Center, where he treats complex vascular wounds. He is a member of the Georgia chapter of the American College of Surgeons, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Cobb County Medical Association.
