Dr. Hafner is Board Certified in General and Vascular Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Hafner’s hospital appointments include Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and Wellstar Cobb Hospital. He served as Chief of Surgery of Kennestone Hospital from 1991-1994 and on the Executive Committee from 1990-1995. He is currently Chairman of the Wellstar Board of Trustees, Vice Chair of WellStar Clinical Partners and Medical Director of WellStar Kennestone Hospital’s Wound Clinic.  He was also recently recognized by Atlanta Magazine on its Top Doctors list.

Dr. Hafner’s interests include endovascular surgery, open endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, and carotid artery surgery. In addition he is the medical director of our State of the Art Accredited Vascular Lab.
