Alykhan Lalani, MD, RPVI

Dr. Lalani was born in India and moved to America when he was young. He grew up in Dublin, Georgia. He went to Georgia State University (GSU) where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Biology. He then proceeded to complete a master’s degree at GSU in Applied and Environmental Microbiology. It was at Georgia State that he fell in love the field of surgery and decided to go to medical school to become a surgeon. He completed medical school at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. While here, he discovered vascular surgery and was accepted to a Vascular Surgery Residency at LSU in New Orleans. He completed training here with multiple awards, including excellence in teaching awards as well as vascular resident of the year award in his final two years.

 

Dr. Lalani was able to obtain extensive training in complex open and endovascular surgery at LSU. He enjoys the variety of problems that vascular surgeons can help take care of for their patients. His interests include open and endovascular aortic surgery, open and endovascular carotid revascularization, lower extremity revascularization, and complex dialysis access creation for patients with previously failed accesses.

 

Dr. Lalani lives with his wife and son in Vinings, Georgia. They are huge fans of all Atlanta based sports teams, but the Falcons in particular. He is extremely excited to be able to come back home and serve patients in the state of Georgia.
