About Ambulatory Micro-Phlebectomy

Phlebectomy, or stab avulsion, is a technique used to remove varicose veins by making several tiny incisions in the skin. The diseased vein is then removed in sections through the skin. This procedure usually does not require stitches and is performed while the patient is under light sedation. Though the sedation might be light, it is highly recommended, and often times required that the patient be driven to and from the appointment.
